Court Referral & Return Date Protocol

This protocol is for referrals from 36th District to SOCD and any review/control date adjournments.

INITIAL REFERRAL

• Recall any warrants and vacate any same day pleas
• Adjourn, preferably to last week of the month
• Email team@streetdemocracy.org the defendant's name, date of birth, telephone, email address, and return date

The court can expect an email response before the return date with the defendant's interest/eligibility in SOCD, and if interested/eligible, a request for adjournment of 90 days.

RETURN DATE
The court can expect an email prior to the return date with defendant's name and request for additional adjournment of 90 days or other update, e.g. loss of contact or withdrawal from program.
